Join our team at DSHS Economic Services Administration (ESA), Division of Program Integrity, as a Management Analyst 4! As a Management Analyst, you'll leverage federal and state resources to research, analyze, and optimize systems that drive agency performance. Your insights will guide management in tackling complex challenges—from refining division procedures and program integrity systems to enhancing policies and long-term strategic plans—using data trends to pinpoint effective solutions.

Some of what you'll do:
- Work with other Management Analysts and divisional staff to analyze data anomalies and resolve issues that cause delays in customer deliverables.
- Utilize Microsoft Access, SQL, Tableau, or other related software product(s), develop a database system to include data visualizations, and act as a liaison in the development of outside proprietary systems that gather and analyze data entered by Quality Control Specialists (QCS) staff through interfaces with related ESA systems.
- Determine method of analysis and oversight for multi-disciplinary project teams. Project teams include but are not limited to Federal SNAP, Basic Food Management Evaluation, and Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS) This work supports cross-agency partnerships that further enhance program integrity. At the request of the Division Director, this position leads complex discussions, seeks resolution, and completes all data reporting requests within DPI for Federal and State agencies that monitor compliance and outcomes.
- Conduct extensive research and analysis in specialized, highly specific multi-dimensional data in the field of risk management, public assistance service delivery, and program integrity issues that may cross departmental lines.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of data and prepare summarized findings for the division with an emphasis on indicating trends, determining causes of those trends or situations, isolating the sources of excessive errors, and reporting positive outcomes or impacts of issues and projecting them into the future.
Additional skills, knowledge and abilities that we are looking for:
- Experience in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft Access and SQL database systems, plus crafting compelling Tableau visualizations.
- Exceptional communication skills with a knack for integrating customer insights into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of Community Service Division programs and Administrative Policies. Prior experience determining public assistance program eligibility preferred but not required.
- Comfort and efficiency in navigating electronic systems.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
- Strong critical thinking skills that drive effective decision-making.
- A self-motivated, independent work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Experience or aptitude in project management and facilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to use data, technology, and research to identify service delivery gaps.
- Capacity to excel under pressure while managing multiple tasks or projects.
- A history of solution-based thinking and adept problem-solving.
- A talent for earning and maintaining customer confidence and trust.
Who should apply?

- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, law, public health, health administration, or a related field
- Four years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations.
Note: A combination of graduate education and professional experience may be considered to meet the qualifications. Relevant professional experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis.
