The Office of Financial Recovery (OFR), part of Washington’s Facilities, Finance and Analytics Administration, is seeking a methodical and motivated Fiscal Analyst 2 to help recover and manage public funds with integrity and efficiency.
In this position, you'll be part of a fast-paced division that plays a critical role in safeguarding the financial interests of the state. Your work will directly support services that work with Washington’s most vulnerable residents. You’ll collaborate with fiscal professionals, case managers, and program staff to manage receivables, process claims, and ensure financial accountability is maintained at every level.

Some of what you will do:
- Review and reconcile financial records, resolving discrepancies in billing and payments.
- Process and track billing claims through internal systems, ensuring timely submission and approval.
- Manage denied claims, including resubmissions and communication with insurance providers.
- Generate and process refunds, write-offs, and manual billing statements.
- Update patient accounts based on insurance or authorization changes.
- Collaborate with healthcare and finance staff to verify billing accuracy and ensure timely collections.
- Maintain accurate census data and billing for Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) facilities.
Who should apply?
Professional experience may substitute for education, but not for the accounting, audit, or budget-related credit hours.
**A master's degree in a financial related field; or certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager, or Management Accountant can be substituted for professional experience.
