Are you a skilled and driven IT Project Manager (PM) ready to make a difference? We are looking for an exceptional project manager to work with our Senior IT PM supporting OFM remediation of critical systems used by state agencies, higher education institutions, the Legislature, and the Governor's office for the state’s Workday implementation. You’ll play a key role in transforming statewide operations by overseeing the migration of existing enterprise application functionality into the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Workday. Collaboration will be at the heart of your work as you engage with diverse stakeholders, balancing priorities and driving alignment to achieve shared success. Duties
What you'll work on

Lead and manage Information Technology Projects on systems and applications that support all state agencies, higher education, the Legislature and the Governor's office.
- Lead and manage multiple projects, including defining deliverables, creating and updating work plans, estimating effort, preparing schedules, managing resources, monitoring budgets, adjusting plans, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, consultation, and oversight to the project team members and stakeholders through the duration of the project.
- Use PMI and Agile project management frameworks and proven project methodologies and tools to complete projects.
- Conduct project closeout activities such as lessons learned, post-implementation report, transition plans, documentation clean-up, resource release, etc.

Manage matrixed resources provided by multiple divisions and agencies.
- Responsible for identifying appropriate resources (contractors, staff, and technology) needed and work with resource managers to assemble project teams.
- Assign project team members’ responsibilities and tasks. Set project performance expectations and create accountability within the team to the project and each other.

Communicate key project information.
- Communicate project readiness, risks, issues, changes, progress, and status to key stakeholders.
- Create project communication plans and content with stakeholder buy off.
- Coordinate key stakeholder meetings and ensure there is ongoing common understanding of the purpose of the project and holistic view of the project objectives by all the stakeholders.

Assist with developing project management standards, processes, best practices, and templates.
- Collaborate and participate with OFM Project Management Office (PMO) Team in creating, reviewing, implementing, and updating project templates, tools, processes, and standards.
- Coach and mentor resource managers, and leads on project management standards, processes, best practices, and templates.
Qualifications
What we need you to bring
Required Qualifications:
- Six (6) years progressive experience successfully managing IT projects, including leading complex software development and system integration projects;
- Three (3) years experience in a relevant domain, including collaborating with domain experts to define project activities, estimate effort levels, and ensure project success; and
- Degree or certificate in computer science, information technology, or a related field. *Additional two years of relevant professional experience, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent certification may substitute for the educational requirement.
Desired Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional Certification or formal Project Management coursework;
- Scrum Master Certification and experience working in an Agile environment; and
- PROSCI or similar certification in Organizational Change Management.
