Job Title: Office Assistant 2

Location: Tumwater, WA

Closes: February 6th, 2025, at 5 p.m. PST

This recruitment is to fill a non-permanent position that is on-call. Hours are scheduled one (1) month out and are based on the payroll calendar. Hours worked per week will vary based on agency needs but typically are 2-3 days, Monday - Friday.

This position is not eligible to telework, as physical in-office presence is required to perform essential functions. The default assigned work location of all Parks positions – both on-site and telework eligible positions – is within the State of Washington. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. Parks may choose, but are not required, to support out-of-state telework on a case-by-case basis.

Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, this position will provide routine clerical office support for the Payroll Department.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Print and distribute timesheets.
  • Enters data information from coded timesheet into the Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
  • Files payroll and other related documents.
  • Establish and prepare new files.
  • Receives, sorts and distributes mail.
  • Archives records.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduation or equivalent and one (1) year of clerical experience.
