This full-time position is remotely based in the Central Washington area (Kittitas County). The administration of these programs requires expert knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations and policies pertaining to the programs. The training and technical assistance provided to program sponsors ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and supports sponsors in providing nutritious meals and promotion of nutrition education. This is an Administrative Program Specialist 2 position. OSPI reserves the right to fill this position at the Administrative Program Specialist 1 level, as part of an in-training planKey ResponsibilitiesConduct administrative reviews, administrative expense audits and reconciliation reports for sponsors of Child Nutrition Programs. Review and approve sponsor program applications and budgets. Follow financial management processes, procedures and standards to assess, monitor and support financial viability of new and returning Child Nutrition Program sponsors.Provide training to sponsors on all areas of program regulations and program management.Provide technical assistance to sponsors.Required Qualifications: Employment at the Administrative Program Specialist 2 level requires: A Bachelor's degree involving major study in education, public or business administration or related field and three (3) years of professional experience in food service or related field.Equivalent years of experience (10 or more) may be substituted for a degree.Experience implementing food service operation of a USDA Child Nutrition Program.Currently located in Kittitas CountyBilingual/biliterate in SpanishEmployment at the Administrative Program Specialist 1 level, as part of an in-training plan, requires: A Bachelor's degree involving major study in education, public or business administration or related field and one (1) or more years of professional experience in food service or related field.Equivalent years of experience (5 or more) may be substituted for a degreeExperience implementing food service operation of a USDA Child Nutrition Program.Currently located in Kittitas CountyBilingual/biliterate in Spanish*Please note that the chosen candidate must be bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and must reside within Kittitas County.Desired Qualifications: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Outlook, etc.).CompensationThe annual compensation for the position is $67,716 - $91,068 per year and depends upon experience, educational background and qualifications.
