EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Our Business and Professions Division employs nearly 300 staff who manage 34 professional business licensing programs and regulate more than 200,000 licensees and 30,000 business licensees. The division also manages several statewide programs including the Uniform Commercial Code, Firearms Database, Combative Sports, and Prorate and Fuel Tax Services.As the Assistant Administrator in our Licensing and Customer Support Services Unit you will be a contributing member of BPD’s leadership team and collaborate with the Attorney General’s Office, Washington State Patrol and other law enforcement agencies, Department of Revenue and professional industry groups licensure. With DOL’s values in mind you will develop and implement strategic and tactical planning and process improvements and ensure licensee credentialing is accurate. The work you do will include regulatory oversight, policy development and implementation.Some of what you will do: Direct assigned internal section operations.Manage operational functions for each program within the section.Determine resource needs, including staff levels necessary for program success.Review and analyze revenues and expenditures for accuracy and forecasting expected results.Facilitate processes for continuous improvement in all work groups with follow-up throughout the year.If you are ready to join us in our goal of reducing risk to consumers and remove barriers to licensure and ensure we are able to fulfill our purpose of, “Helping every Washington resident live, work, drive, and thrive.” we invite you to apply!
