This position serves as the senior budget analyst and financial management specialist within the Budget and Business Administration unit as part of the Aquatic Resources Division.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Responsibilities: Monitors performance against approved spending plans and appropriate expenditure of funds and prepares a monthly report for all programs and districts within the Aquatic Resources division.Prepares variance and status reports on a monthly/quarterly basis.Assists program managers in calculating fiscal impacts for fiscal notes or program operations.Monitor budget and financial control procedures for compliance with established policies.Coordinate external vendor invoicing for accounts payable and receivable within the Aquatic Resources Division.Conducts detailed, complex long-range budget and expenditure analysis.Prepares complex expenditure forecasts for long-range budget planning.Examine expenditures and project necessary funding for the end of the fiscal year and biennial closeouts.Work with the Budget and Business Administration ADM to ensure funds are adequate and within each program's spending plan.Maintain an ongoing revenue tracking file on a monthly basis that includes revenue from each use type and district for each fiscal year.Monitor, report, and advise on division grant activities for compliance within established budget/fiscal procedures and prepare reports for federal grant applications.Support division's legislative bill and fiscal note development.
