DSHS FFA MOD Truck Driver 1
The Facilities, Finance, and Analytics (FAA) Administration is looking for an individual who desires to transport cargo and passengers in and around the Western State Hospital (WSH) campus in Selah, WA.

Some of what you will do:
- Drive and operate small light-duty trucks, vans, and special vehicles between 16,000 GVW and 24.000 GVW to deliver goods on the hospital campus.
- Drive the 15 passenger shuttle bus on and off campus.
- Assist in collecting and transporting recycled materials.
- Clean exterior and interior of vehicles.
- Operate snowplow, forklift, salt spreader, and other equipment.
- Work requires employees to be on their feet 75% of their workday on concrete and on similar type surface.
- Regularly push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs., bend and twist as needed.
- Must possess sufficient strength and agility to grasp, hold and handle a variety of objects, including tools, machinery, and products.
What we're Looking for:
- Must be able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to operate box trucks and 15-passenger shuttles in a safe and skillful manner.
- Knowledge of state motor vehicle laws with the safe operation of equipment.
- Ability to be flexible to changing work hours.
- Experience working around noisy machines and potentially hazardous chemicals.
- Skilled at taking instructions that are verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
Who should apply?
- High school graduation or possession of a GED certificate.
- Drivers with at least one year experience as a Truck Driver 1 or equivalent experience with the operation of commercial class trucks of 20.000 GVW.
- A valid driver's license free from serious traffic violations.
