As the Office Assistant, you will have the opportunity to manage routine tasks effectively, track work progress, and work alongside a supportive team. Recognizing the importance of attention to detail, you will be instrumental in meeting crucial deadlines while enjoying the flexibility to approach complex clerical tasks in a manner that suits you best. Your contributions will play a vital role in fulfilling the agency’s mission of helping every Washington resident to live, work, drive, and thrive by ensuring customer documents are processed accurately and efficiently.
Some of what you will be doing:
- Performing tasks such as copying, filing, faxing, shredding, and sending documents as assigned.
- Performing online renewals, vault related duties, inventory duties, and assisting other team members with similar tasks.
- Analyzing documents for accuracy and completeness while following strict security procedures.
- Manage and organize all incoming mailed correspondence directed to the unit.
- One (1) year of experience and responsibility in an office performing one (1) or more of the following:
- Clerical or administrative duties such as reviewing documents, records, reports, and/or applications for completeness and accuracy and basic office production functions.
- Data Entry.
- Customer Service.
What may help you stand out:
- Two (2) years of experience and responsibility in an office performing one or more of the following:
- Clerical or administrative duties such as reviewing documents, records, reports, or applications for completeness and accuracy and basic office production functions.
- Data Entry.
- Customer Service.
- Experience using computer equipment and Microsoft Office applications or similar systems.
- One (1) year of experience composing clear, professionally appropriate, technically correct, and step-by-step instruction responses to customers.
- Experience using various functionalities within web-based programs or similar systems.
- Experience applying complex rules, laws, and policies or procedures to business practices.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant’s suitability and competence to perform in the position.
SESG Program Qualifications:
This position is within the Supported Employment in State Government (SESG) Program, per the requirements of RCW 41.04.770. Applicants must be eligible for the SESG Program and also meet the qualifications for this position.
To be eligible for the SESG Program you must:
- Have a developmental disability as defined in RCW 71A.10.020; or Experience a significant disability as defined in the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that seriously limits one or more functional capacities.
- Require supported employment on the job training and long-term support to satisfactorily perform job duties; AND
- Have a reliable source of long-term support.

Salary : $3,028 - $3,910
