About the positionThis role is part of WaTech’s Secure Gateway Services (SGS) unit, which is within the Computing Services Division (CSD). SGS supports the state’s mission to enable businesses and constituents to securely access government services anytime, anywhere. SGS allows businesses and residents to pay taxes, apply for benefits, access social services, health records, law enforcement data and other critical services through a secure online web portal. As the Secure Gateways Services Manager-Identity and Access Management, you will work closely with state business managers, security professionals and diverse technical disciplines to integrate complex web applications, computing and telecommunications architectures within the SGS infrastructure. In this role you will work with state agencies in design review meetings and help to ensure compliance with statewide policies. The SGS manager is also responsible for managing all aspects of this business unit.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Some of what to expect with this role: Mitigate risks and enhance service delivery by evaluating the security infrastructure, external access requirements, potential threats, and emerging business needs, and formulate and take action as needed.Lead strategic enterprise projects aimed at developing IAM strategies, roadmaps, and service definitions.Make real-time decisions regarding active and potential security threats that may impact the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information accessed through the Security Gateways Services. Ensure full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies concerning user access (security, privacy, and accessibility).Perform incident management and service as incident commander for when their services are impacted.Oversee the processes related to granting, modifying, and revoking access rights to systems and data, as well as auditing these processes to detect any unauthorized changes or inconsistencies.Provide subject matter expertise in security and architecture meetings, reviews, and enterprise projects.Responsible for the deployment of secure gateway services, including SecureAccess Washington the replacement Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) with Okta, Web Services Gateway, Internal Certificate Authority, and Managed File Transfer. Oversee all aspects of application development for both new and existing secure gateway services, ensuring that development efforts adhere to established schedules and budgets.Manage the administration of several Office of Cybersecurity (OCS) services deployed to SecureAccess Washington, Internal Certificate Authority, Managed File Transfer, and Web Services Gateway.Perform customer management activities to ensure appropriate access delegation while preventing customer administrative actions from adversely impacting the Secure Gateway Service offerings.
