Nature of Work
The West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History is looking for a motivated custodian with a flexible schedule who can work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and some holidays. Under general supervision, this position will perform routine custodial work cleaning in and around the Culture Center located at the State Capitol Complex. Work involves dusting, sweeping, mopping and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in an assigned area. Experience operating a floor buffer is a plus, but not required. This position will rotate weekend and evening schedules and will provide clean-up after Culture Center events, which may include working on a holiday. Will perform other duties as assigned. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. Willingness to work a rotating weekend/evening schedule and full weekday availability is a must. The selected candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a criminal background check.
