Nature of Work
The vacant position of the Facilities/ Equipment Maintenance Technician functions as a member of the operations team providing essential services to the assigned caseload of maintenance service requests. The incumbent will perform duties such as, plumbing, heating and cooling and provide preventive maintenance on all plumbing, heating and air conditioning equipment. The position is vital to our daily maintenance operations and to relieve current operations staff from mandatory overtime requirements. Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Graduation from a standard four-year high school or GED or four year apprenticeship program or two year post secondary technical school.
Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in heating, cooling, ventilation or the mechanical or building trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plasterer, painter, welder, machinist, mechanic or masonry work.
Special Requirement: Specific positions may require certification from a federal EPA approved testing organization as a certified technician required by the clean Air Act on refrigerant recycling.
