Nature of Work
Under supervision of the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) Program Manager, serves as a lead interviewer and backup for the program manager. Monitors telephone interviewers to ensure quality of data per CDC guidance. Creates and maintains monthly schedule for the program, which consists of approximately 20 employees. Sets up call records twice daily based on CDC protocols. Produces productivity reports to ensure staff are meeting call quotas. Assists with training and serves as a resource to other interviewers. Performs telephone interviews to collect health-related data. Provides input to the program manager on other interviewer’s performance. This position requires some evenings and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Two (2) years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
Master's degree in social work from a regionally accredited social work program from a regionally accredited college or university.
Note: Appointment above the entry rate may be made at 5% for each six (6) months of successfully completed work as an intern in a practicum placement with the Department of Health and Human Resources for the Master of Social Work degree.
