What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Systems Specialist 2 - Office of Technology - Kanawha Co. position at State of West Virginia?
Nature of Work
Under general supervision, performs research, designing, testing and configuration of Enterprise standard computer images for all Office/Bureaus/Divisions on the statewide Executive network. Work with other team members to review requests for custom images when requested by Office/Bureau/Division and, if deemed necessary, design and build the custom image. Research, design, test and implement Enterprise KIOSK machines to be used throughout the state based on needs of Agencies. Serves as backup to System Configuration Management team and Active Directory Team to facilitate services are up and running for the Executive Domain. Work with vendors and other technology groups as needed for IT projects to design solutions and resolve problems as a subject matter expert. Work with team members on software deployment and patches using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Work with other team members to review and approve/deny cell phone purchases for the Executive domain. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in information processing field, one year of which is experience in local area network administration support and/or networking of standalone, mainframe, minicomputer, and LAN connected microcomputers and two years of which is experience in installation of hardware and software, support and/or training.
