What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Systems Specialist 3 - Office of Technology - Kanawha Co. position at State of West Virginia?
Nature of Work
Under limited supervision, performs research, designing, testing and configuration of Enterprise standard computer images for all Office/Bureaus/Divisions on the statewide Executive network. The employee will review requests for custom images when requested by Office/Bureau/Division and, if deemed necessary, design and build the custom image. Research, design, test and implement Enterprise KIOSK machines to be used throughout the state based on needs of Agencies. Serves as backup to System Configuration Management team and Active Directory Team to facilitate services are up and running for the Executive Domain. Work with vendors, application developers, system management and other technology groups to provide resolution and enhancement to the current network environment. Works directly with WVOT Security Team to ensure computer systems are secure and configured correctly to reduce cyber risks. Work with team members on software deployment and patches using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Work with other team members to review and approve/deny cell phone purchases for the Executive domain. Maintain and support the RightFax environment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in information processing field, one year of which is experience in local area network administration support and/or networking of standalone, mainframe, minicomputer, and LAN connected microcomputers and two years of which is experience in installation of hardware and software, support and/or training.
