Nature of Work
This position will be an entry level web developer position with the Tax Division. This position will work with a team of state developers to create, develop, and maintain agency web applications utilizing a variety of technologies including but not limited to Django, ASP.Net, and Visual Studio. Candidates will be expected to be familiar with Visual Studio, .Net Frameworks, XML, and SQL and have a working knowledge of relational databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostGRES). The chosen applicant will be required to analyze the business rules required to process the state taxes and then code, configure, implement, and maintain those solutions and current processes as they relate to the application systems. The applicant will be required to do full system testing, prepare data flows, application flows, and system flows. This position requires system and user procedure documentation. Will be required to work with a team of programmers and end users on determining the specifications and requirements for the solution being designed and coded. The position will require the use of structured techniques, along with knowing object-oriented techniques in design and implementation. Will perform related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or related field including but not limited to business data programming, business systems analysis, computer accounting, computer and information systems, computer servicing technologies, information systems management, data processing, or computer engineering.
OR
An Associate's degree from an accredited college, university or business school in computer science or related field including but not limited to business data programming, business systems analysis, computer accounting, computer and information systems, computer servicing technologies, information systems management, data processing, or computer engineering and eighteen months of full-time or equivalent part-time paid computer programming experience in one or more programming or data base languages.
