TOLL EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST-WV PARKWAYS AUTHORITY-RALEIGH COUNTY
SALARY: $18.4185 -$26.9115 HOURLY (ELIGIBLE FOR OVERTIME)
(Normal work week is 40 hours, based on operational necessity.
On call after hours, weekends, and holidays.
Immediate response upon notification in emergency situations.)

PLACE OF DUTY: Barrier A, B, C, N. Beckley, HQ,
Toll Equipment Maintenance Shop, Variable Message System locations
Directly responsible for maintenance of all equipment associated with toll audit system, VMS boards, AVI System, DVAR/VES System and Telephone/Intercom systems. He/She is under the direct supervision of the Toll Equipment Supervisor and Foreman.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting of hardware/software problems.
- Preventive maintenance consisting of inspecting, cleaning, lubrication, testing, repairing and replacing equipment as scheduled.
- Perform bench repairs and testing.
- Install, remove and modify all equipment as needed.
- Install, remove and test software as needed.
- Perform and complete all daily maintenance forms and logs.
- Maintain clean safe orderly work environment at shop and equipment areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Examples of Work
Skills and Abilities:
Setup, operation and repair of computers and all associated equipment- Install and operate computer software operating programs (NT, XP, 98, etc)
- Install and operate additional software for operational and maintenance use

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.- Background in electronics and in PC/Network operation and repair by education and experience.
- Vocational and/or military training preferred.
- Valid WV driver’s license.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
Special Requirements:
Able to work in confined areas and lift upwards of 100lbs.- Perform outside work in all elements.
