Remote / Telework up to 60%. Note : During probation telework may gradually increase to 60% (i.e. working remotely three (3) days per week, and reporting to the 2135 Rimrock Road, Madison WI building, two (2) days per week) within 9 months (of 12-month probation period) based on performance and workload needs.
Following the 12-month probation, remote / telework would continue at 60%, requiring that you report to the Madison office building, two (2) days per week. Please note there is no option for 100% remote / telework, this is NOT negotiable.

Salary Information
Salary for this IS Systems Development Services Specialist (Quality Assurance Analyst) position (schedule-range 07-33) is $71,053 to $90,480 annually ($34.16 to $43.50 hourly), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. Current state employees pay will be based on the provisions in the Compensation Plan. A twelve-month probationary period is required.
Job Details
The Department of Revenue will conduct criminal background, tax compliance checks and fingerprint checks on candidates prior to offer of hire. Interview results may be reused in accordance with the State of WI interview reuse policy.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. The Department of Revenue does not sponsor work or student visas, either at time of hire or at any later time. DOR participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information for all new employees to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.
Qualifications
Be sure to clearly address each of the qualifications below in your both your letter of qualifications and resume.
Minimum-qualified candidates will have experience in each of the following :
1. Quality improvement / management principles and techniques.
2. Developing software testing plans and conducting software testing.
3. Conducting quality assurance reviews (e.g., reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, compliance with applicable policies / procedures, etc.).
4. Using performance management and / or quality improvement tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, cause and effect diagram, flow charting, root cause analysis, Pareto charts, Results Based Accountability, etc.).
Well-qualified candidates will have experience in one (1) or more of the following (in addition to the minimum qualifications).
1. Writing SQL.
2. Conducting IT QA processes utilizing two or more automated software testing tools; OR utilized Selenium.
3. Leading a team in quality improvement process projects.
4. Providing technical assistance and / or training on the use of performance management or quality improvement tools.
5. Collecting and / or analyzing data to evaluate program effectiveness (e.g., conducting trend analysis, developing reports based on collected data, evaluating results, recommending improvements etc.)
