Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is recruiting to fill multiple Senior level Civil Engineer Transportation positions located in the Division of Transportation System Development (DTSD) offices throughout the State.

Position Summary
Positions are responsible for performing professional engineering senior level duties and applying engineering expertise for multi-modal transportation programs. Positions will work in one of the department's engineering program areas that may include : design, construction, utilities, soils, planning, traffic and maintenance of transportation facilities in addition to other areas of focus. Under general supervision, this position performs independently and has extensive authority in carrying out their assigned responsibilities. Work at this level requires a high degree of interpretation and creativity in evaluating and carrying out engineering assignments.
Salary Information
The Civil Engineer Transportation Senior level position is in pay schedule 14-13. Starting pay is between $80,870 and $99,403 annually depending upon qualifications plus excellent benefit, plus an additional $2,080 / year for individuals who hold a Professional Engineer license.
Pay for internal candidates is determined per the compensation plan. A 12-month probationary period is required.

This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from one of the offices listed above at least 2 days per week. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are still expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview.
