Responsibilities
This position will provide complex accounting, auditing, and bookkeeping oversight for multiple programs and funding sources at Stanley Correctional Institution (SCI). Responsibilities include:
- Auditing and reviewing financial transactions, including cost allocation patterns for general institution operations, inmate accounts, stores operations, Canteen, Capital, Fuel and Utilities, Repair and Maintenance, and Purchase of Services program.
- Exercising independent judgment in the preparation, processing, and reconciliation of a wide variety of fiscal transactions, including reports to management staff on those transactions and recommendations for procedural enhancements.
- Preparing complex documents and reports ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as the Department of Administration (DOA) and the Department of Corrections (DOC) internal controls and policies/procedures.
- Coordinating workflow for four financial specialists and functioning as a lead worker.
