The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Corrections Program Supervisor position. This position is based out of Copper Lake / Lincoln Hills schools in Irma, WI.
Position Summary

This person is responsible for the security, treatment, and general living conditions of all youth assigned to specific program units (Douglass and Miller Living Units—JCIP Program). The Corrections Program Supervisor is an administrator responsible for all activities within his/her section and the development, implementation, and monitoring of overall institution goals, policies and procedures as part of the institution management team. This position represents the institution to all outside agencies involved with the youth in the section. This Section Manager is also responsible for supervising institution-wide or Division wide special programs or initiatives.
Salary Information

This position is in pay schedule/range 81-03 with an annual salary between $55889 - $92206, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Job Details

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
  • Developing , implementing and evaluating programs (such as security, treatment, clinical, social services, education, specialized programs structured activities, etc.)
  • Developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating standards, policies and procedures.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary teams or approaches in the development, implementation and review of programs.
In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience with :
  • Performing supervision or lead worker related activities (e.g. assigning, directing, and/or evaluating work, disciplinary matters, hiring, providing training/mentoring, etc.)
