The Division of Community Corrections is recruiting for a Financial Program Supervisor. This position will be working at 3099 E. Washington Ave., Madison, WI.
Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Correctional Services Manager/Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director, supervise and direct the work of the positions working in the division’s (DCC’s) Business Office. Manage the Division’s accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), purchasing, fleet, uniforms and asset tracking activities. Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of DCC budgets, revenue and spending plans. Advise the OMB director and administrator’s office on the best courses of action to maintain and improve current operations and help identify, develop, fund and implement future DCC priorities.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule/range 81-03 with an annual salary of $55889-$92206 , plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes. A twelve-month probationary period is required.

The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
This position has the flexibility of a hybrid in-office and remote work schedule up to 3 days per week.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have experience: Performing purchasing activities (e.g. requisitions/orders, bids, compliance, budget monitoring, etc.) Performing inventory control activities (e.g. maintaining records, performing audits, reconciling discrepancies, etc.) Managing, leading, and/or overseeing the work of others (e.g. training, advising, reviewing work, etc.) Monitoring and auditing financial transactions to ensure accuracy (e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.)
In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience: Formally supervising the work of other staff (e.g. hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, dismissal, settling grievances, etc.) Performing budget management (e.g. analysis of expenditures, forecast analysis, etc.) Using an ERP or financial system such as PeopleSoft to perform financial and/or purchasing activities.
