Position Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Department positions IT Systems Analyst and Senior IT Systems Analyst work as a team to align County stakeholders and information technology by collaborating with departments to determine the needs of the County operations and resource capabilities. These positions are responsible for planning, implementing, supporting, updating, monitoring, changing, and protecting the County data information systems, databases, and applications to provide a stable and secure IT environment; and analyzes current systems and procedures to design IT solutions to facilitate efficient operations.
Salary Information

Job Details
REQUIRED JOB COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of database platforms, implementations, installation, configuration, and integration with adjoining platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL, Access, and Oracle platforms.
- Knowledge of Document Management systems, Records Management systems, and Financial systems.
- Knowledge of implementations, installation, configuration, and integration of network protocols and server platforms, and integration of network server operating systems and client operating systems.
- Knowledge of LAN and WAN, project management, capacity planning, work plan preparation, and version change control.
- Knowledge of Internet connectivity, network security design, and implementation techniques.
- Skill in assisting customers with computer related problems.
- Knowledge of administrative policies and procedures of the County.
- Knowledge of current office practices and procedures and knowledge of the operation of standard office equipment and software.
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate records of assigned activities and operations.
- Ability to interpret and implement local policies and procedures; written instructions, general correspondence; Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Skill in organizational and time management to prioritize duties to accomplish a high volume of work product while adapting to constant changes in priority.
- Ability to perform detailed work accurately and independently in compliance with stringent time limits requiring minimal direction and supervision. • Ability to think quickly, maintain self-control, and adapt to stressful situations.
- Knowledge of computer software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications consistent for this position.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations required of this position.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively in English in both written and verbal form.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or other computer science field and five (5) years’ work experience with Microsoft SQL databases and/or systems, and network applications.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience which provides necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
- Fingerprinting is required.
- Criminal background and local records check, including the Department of Transportation and NCIC/CIB wants/warrants database.
