Introduction
The Department of Health Services (DHS) , Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC) is recruiting to fill a vacancy for a Plumber . This position will be scheduled to work 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm, Monday through Friday, including occasional weekends, holidays and on-call hours.

Position Summary
As the Plumber, you will perform maintenance, new installation, repair / service, of detention / commercial style plumbing fixtures, commercial kitchen equipment, water distribution, sanitary / storm sewers and drains, for all of the WRC and Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI) campuses. These duties include, but are not limited to :
Salary Information
The starting pay is between $44.88 and $46.34 per hour, depending upon leave time selected, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required. This position is represented by the WI State Building Trades bargaining unit.
Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by WRC or medical personnel approved by the facility within 30 days of the start date.
This position has physical requirements which may include but are not limited to lifting up to 80 pounds, climbing up and down and working on ladders, and physical strength and stamina to work overhead, to bend twist, crawl and work on feet for sustained periods Applicants will be required to pass a physical evaluation to assess these requirements.
This position requires the ability to drive a State vehicle or the ability to provide one's own transportation. In order to become authorized to drive a State vehicle, you must meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy, which are :

In addition, well-qualified applicants will b e registered or have the ability to be registered by the Wisconsin DSPS in Cross Connection and Control . Registration must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment.
