This full-time permanent position is headquartered at the Hill Farms State Office Building on the near west side of Madison, Wisconsin and allows the option to work remotely up to 5 days per week following the initial training period. All employees are expected to work within the State of Wisconsin. This position will be required to come into the Madison, WI office for training, meetings and/or operational needs. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview. Our building is also conveniently located close to the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment of the Hilldale Mall.

Position Summary


This position serves as the primary subject matter expert on the administration, development, management, and support of WisDOT’s Microsoft SharePoint environment and tools. This position plans, develops, and implements highly complex SharePoint and SharePoint related tools and technologies for use by all WisDOT business areas, and establishes technical policies, procedures, and guidelines for sound management, administration, and control of our SharePoint environment and related tools. This position also provides project oversight and coordinates concurrent SharePoint related efforts to meet business customer needs.

Salary Information


This position is in schedule-range (07-32) with an annual salary of $82,160 - $120,640 (or $39.50 - $58 per hour), plus excellent benefits. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Job Details

Qualifications


Qualified applicants must detail having experience in all the following in order to be considered in the next step of the hiring process:

  • Significant professional experience performing SharePoint administration (including tasks such as configuring and managing SharePoint sites, user roles, permissions and/or general maintenance.)
  • Significant professional experience establishing governance, technical policies, and best practices surrounding a SharePoint environment.
  • Experience developing and implementing short and long-term strategies for SharePoint and Web Content administration.

In addition to having all the above, well qualified applicants will also detail having experience in at least one of the following:

  • Supporting and/or developing workflows/forms using Power Automate, Power Apps, Nintex, or similar tools.
  • Providing technical support and ADA accessibility fit/gap analysis for SharePoint and/or Web Content.
  • Serving in a team lead or trainer capacity.
