State Park is looking for a Door Person!

We're looking a for a nice person who doesn't mind being firm with the rules at a busy bar. Our door staff help regulate capacity, maintain a safe and positive environment, manage the line outside, check ID's (and catch fake ID's!), among other related responsibilities. Experience at a bar or club is strongly preferred. Friday and Saturday Night availability is required for this hire!

As a State Park door person you’ll be the first person a guest at State Park sees. Our door people are meant to serve as a friendly and welcoming presence, inviting guests into the bar and restaurant space and acting as an additional set of watchful eyes for the management team. We see the door person as a “guest experience” position, ensuring that the space remains friendly and welcoming to all, and assisting management with any crowd control tasks that arise.

We provide skilled, focused hospitality while keeping the vibe and selections pretty laid back and accessible for whomever decides to come hang. At State Park you’ve always got a good chance of running into a drink or band that you haven’t had the chance to enjoy yet, and you’ll get to make a new friend while you’re at it.

Our menu is stacked with playful twists on bar classics and nods to the history of the neighborhood watering hole, complete with a pool table and pinball machines. On the employee side, we have things like secure scheduling, 20% fair wage surcharge on every check, and a pretty sweet button that says ‘I Work Here’ on it.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 18 per week
