Why this role is important to usThe Chief Business Office oversees business operations across State Street Global Technology Services (GTS). This VP role sits within the strategy team, reporting directly to the Head of Strategy (MD level). The key priority for the team will be to establish strategy framework, drive the strategic planning process for GTS, track execution of technology strategy, communicate the benefit and impact of technology investment, and offer key insights to the senior leadership team on the execution of the overall strategic initiatives of the portfolio.What you will be responsible forThe ideal candidate will have a combination of both technical and operational understanding : Assist in the development of the business unit strategy on both a multi-year and periodic basis in support of the company’s individual business unit’s long-term strategic plans including those related to products and servicesMonitor progress of the technology portfolio to assess strategic progress against our 3-year plan, including the tracking of operational objectives (OKRs) and performance to identify risks to annual execution planSupport the drive to a standard operating model of developing strategy across the various functional units within GTSKey lead in driving the production of analytical insights to the GTS Leadership on a regular basis on the health of execution against the defined strategySupport the Head of Strategy to drive communication and engagement with the most senior executives in GTSProvide consultancy services to help improve the articulation and communication of our strategic plans with the wider stakeholder areas both external and internal to technologyEngage with business unit COO functions to ensure alignment on Technology and Operations strategic visionServing as a Subject Matter Expert on strategic plan updates and formal communication on the progress of its executionWhat we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this roleExceptional communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to communicate effectively to executive level audiencesCredible business advisor that is able to build consensusAbility to think strategically, managing complexity, change and multiple priorities Highly collaborative work style and ability to effectively work with leaders who have a range of management stylesExceptional organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage a wide range of activitiesEducation & QualificationsMinimum of 8 years' experience driving and shaping business execution and strategiesProven people leadership skills and comfort in interacting with senior executives on a frequent basisAdvanced capabilities in Microsoft Office, suite of applications, especially Excel and PowerPointPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degreeRelated experience within the financial services industryConsulting experience within software, technology, and / or ITProject management and change management experience Experience working with PowerBISalary Range : $115,000 - $190,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
