Position Summary
State Street is a systemically important financial institution that, among other business lines, provides custody, fund administration and related investment services on a global basis to a broad range of institutional clients. We are seeking an experienced attorney to support State Street's Investment Services business in the Americas, including hedge fund and private equity fund servicing. The work will include :
- Providing legal and regulatory advice to business colleagues to support strategic changes to State Street's business model, including new products, services, and partnerships
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating service agreements, disclosures and client communications
- Analyzing regulatory issues impacting the business and its clients
- Advising business partners at various levels of the organization in relation to State Street's global operating model, including in respect of governance structures
- Advising on claims, errors and potential litigation
- Providing legal advice based on strong critical thinking, problem-solving and technical legal skills
- Collaborating with business, compliance and legal partners to find solutions to challenging regulatory, contractual and operational issues
- Advising business partners on commercial and legal terms that may impact the provision of services to hedge fund and private equity clients
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills :
Salary Range :
130,000 - $205,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
