This role is based in Boston, MA, USA and will work with State Street Agile teams and business users from all regions.What you will be responsible forAs Quality Analyst, you willCollaborate with cross-functional agile teams to understand project requirements and user stories and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.Conduct manual and automated testing of AWS-based applications, Databricks data warehouse, and ETL backend systemsDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure efficient regression testing and maximum test coverage.Execute performance testing to evaluate system scalability, reliability, and efficiency.Work closely with developers and product owners to identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects, and ensure timely resolution.Perform backend testing by designing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity and ensure ETL processes function as expected.Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Continuously improve the QA process by identifying areas for automation, enhancing test coverage, and implementing best practices.Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional growth and development.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.What we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this rolestrong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skillsPresentation skillsTeam playerEducation & Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree level qualification in a computer or IT related subject7 years of experience in Quality assurance 4 years of experience in Automation TestingExperience with Automation tools like Selenium / Rational Robot / Ranorex etcHands on experience on SQL (Analytical Functions and complex queries), SQL developer and TOAD.Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools such as JIRA-XRAY, RTC etcAdditional requirements (Good to have)Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner both written and orallyBe a team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, and self-motivationAbility to multi-task, meet aggressive timelines and have strong work ethicsExperience of working in the financial industryExperience with agile development methodologyFamiliarity with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), and hands on experience with Databricks / Outpost data warehouse is a plusRelevant certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester are desirableAre you the right candidate?
