We are looking for an accomplished Private Markets professional to join our dynamic, diverse Private and Alternatives team in the U.S. You will be a key member of the regional leadership team, reporting to the Global Head of Private Markets and Alternatives.

You will lead our efforts to map out the firm’s opportunity set for Private Market strategies with institutional and intermediary clients across the U.S. You will lead and support our distribution efforts in partnership with our Client Coverage Group, ETF Sales Strategist team and partners, for existing and new products. You will also play a key role in initiating engagement with potential investors and partners, representing our capabilities at external events and conferences and contributing product ideas. Additionally you will provide solid market insights that inform our development of private markets products and solutions that will deliver democratized access to the broader investing community.

You will have very good knowledge across private credit, private equity, infrastructure, real estate and secondaries; and you will have deep knowledge in one or more of these private market asset classes.

You will need to collaborate closely with colleagues, external partners and key stakeholders across Investments, Distribution, Product and our External Partners.

We want you to develop a deep understanding of the SSGA franchise to anticipate the needs of our clients, manage business at risk and actively contribute to the region’s business growth and identification of trends and new product ideas.

What We Will Ask You To Do

  • Help identify current market trends supporting allocations to private market strategies
  • Map out potential investors for current or future private markets products across both Institutional and Intermediary segments
  • Work with Intermediary channel to support sales of appropriate wealth market vehicles as subject matter expert
  • Formalize 3-year Go-To-Market strategy
  • Be a key regional Subject Matter Expert on private market strategies and, as such, work in partnership with our colleagues and partners in Product, Investments, Marketing and Sales
  • Take a leading role in initiating client engagement with pre-identified prospects, with the objective to facilitate asset raising efforts in 2025


What We Would Love You To Be

  • Academic background in finance, economics, business or a related field
  • In-depth understanding of private market asset classes including private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate and secondaries
  • Over 10 years’ experience in structuring and distributing Private Market products
  • Willing to travel extensively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of legal/regulatory frameworks governing private markets
  • A good problem solver and trouble-shooter, with the ability to identify and analyze issues with the creativity and energy to solve them

Salary Range

$130,000 - $205,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
