We are currently seeking a Commercial Maintenance Technician to be a part of our State Street Maintenance Team to work across our Central Denver Portfolio. Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at State Street Properties. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks across various commercial properties in Metro Denver. Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and functionality of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property managers.
- Conduct inspections of properties to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing high voltage systems as needed.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Strong knowledge of making ready apartment units
- Experience with the following:
- Filling nail holes
- Painting
- Trim work
- Drywall
- Flooring
- Cabinets
- Light Fixtures
- Outlets
- Basic plumbing
- General carpentry
- Knowledge of major appliances, including HVAC
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of electrical when no license is required
- Good verbal, written, and communication skills a must.
- Good customer service skills, and experience working with tenants.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to be on call and occasionally work weekends and nights if necessary
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret all forms of information
- Ability to accept and learn from constructive criticism
- Well organized, detail oriented with ability to prioritize
- Must be team oriented but able to work independently on occasion
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Basic computer, smart phone, and Internet knowledge
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and general mechanical repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have Reliable Transportation
- Preferably previous experience in community management maintenance, painting or other building maintenance or related trade, but we are willing to train applicants
- Must be able to move up to 50 pounds' variable distances
- Own a Basic set of hand and power tools, Company does not supply tools
- Must be available for on call emergency, rotation every 3 weeks, Sunday-Sunday
