Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

Salary Range
$100,000 - $160,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.

What You Will Be Responsible For
As AVP you will
- Influence the architecture and technical design of the cross asset Front Office Position and Risk platform.
- Participate in the definition of the technical stack for the risk platform availing a balanced blend of cutting edge and traditional technologies.
- Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, front office risk and analytics teams to craft elegant solutions to front office trading requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and work with senior managers/technical leads to drive the adoption of applicable ones within the group.
- Promote an agile model of development and support. Deliver high quality technical solutions for loosely defined, ever evolving requirements under extremely compressed timeframes.
- Participate in periodic code reviews with focus on functional integrity as well as extensibility and scalability.
These skills will help you succeed in this role
- Proven track record in building scalable, mission critical IT platforms for the financial services industry
- Expert level proficiency in Object Oriented (OO) programming, design patterns and related paradigms
- High level of proficiency in Core Java, Spring Framework, REST Services, SQL, Messaging and Test Driven Development using JUnit
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills
- Full stack experience including Javascript UI frameworks such as ReactJS is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or other demonstrable qualifications gained though work experience
- 5 years work experience as a software developer is preferred
