Position Overview
The State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) Chief Operating Officer (COO) is seeking to hire a Global Head of Technology and Business Architecture Services (GHTBAS). This role will report directly to the SSGA COO and will play a critical role in defining and leading the strategy, delivery and management of all technology and business architecture services provided to the Global Advisors business at State Street.
The GHTBAS will be a strategic partner and advisor to the COO for all the technology architecture capabilities and business architecture services supporting the COO organizational delivery of the services in a federated model to Global Advisors, State Street, and our clients.
The GHTBAS will function as the central point of coordination for all application, infrastructure and business process architecture related services working closely with the State Street affiliates, Global Technology Services (GTS) and other third-party vendors used within the SSGA ecosystem globally.
The leader and their organization will provide strategic technology architectural guidance to the COO Organizational delivery of technology platforms and services, provide governance and oversight according to the GTS architectural standards and provide an operating model to enable federated technology delivery against a target end state blueprint.
They will engage all COO functions and their respective business domains functions for daily execution and delivery of the business capabilities and workflows leveraging the technology platforms.
In addition, the GHTBAS will be the conduit of key GTS technology, risk, security, and governance, in addition to, business architecture services information flow to the COO leadership team, SSGA businesses and associated functions enabling an orchestrated, optimal operating model for the Global Advisors technology and business services platforms.
Responsibilities
- Management of the Technology and Business Architecture Services organization
- Partners with COO leadership team to set strategic and operational objectives, aligning to GA strategic priorities, to ensure the COO organization is exceeding in technology and business service delivery against a defined target state blueprint.
- Builds strong relationships across the COO, GA and State Street Executive Leadership team and their leadership teams to drive oversight and governance to meet architectural standards that are set.
- Partner with COO senior leadership team to actively identify and implement process changes and organizational optimization as part of the transformation strategy.
- Accountability for developing a strong risk and control culture across all regions embedding the control frameworks within the technology platforms and business processes / services.
- Drives organizational, team and individual development enhancing productivity, team collaboration against defined measurable outcomes.
- Responsible for working with the GA business organizations and COO Leadership team to enable the future state technology platforms and ecosystem in the public cloud environment in a componentized, containerized and service-based architecture.
- Manages and delivers the public cloud transformation program in collaboration with the GTS State Street Organization defining the future state operating model for the deployment of both the technology and business services and capabilities.
- Leverages the latest technology including artificial intelligence to transform the way the business services are provided; data and insights are consumed reducing operational risk, standardizing how the global advisor’s business operates and enhancing operating leverage for the future.

Salary Range
225,000 - $337,500 Annual
