What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Attendant - Activity Center (Evening/Weekend) position at State Technical College of Missouri?
POSITION SUMMARY
The job of the Activity Center Front Desk Associate is to provide services to State Tech students and Activity Center members. This position serves to be the contact for facility information and is responsible for guest safety, customer service, and the following of policy and procedures. The position provides a presence in the areas of the front desk, gym, game room, and fitness center for students and members and act a resource of information so that the Activity Center Coordinator can effective follow through with their responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this position successfully, employee must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility satisfactorily. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborate with other on-campus departments as required.
- Use RecTrac to record usage of the facility and have an understanding of who is in the building at all times.
- Provide guidance for all areas of the building and delegating tasks when appropriate.
- Responsible for the opening and closing routine of the facility.
- Serve as point of contact for issues that arise in the building, complete reports as appropriate, report student misconduct to appropriate staff and liaison with outside emergency services as needed.
- Be prepared to answer questions from customers who are renting the facility. Ensure rental customers have all supplies needed from their rental agreements.
- Be knowledgeable about policies/procedures and be prepared to explain and enforce them.
- Review agreements, deadlines, rules, and compliance with associated leagues and affiliates.
- Assist the SGA/Intramural Coordinator when necessary for events hosted in the building.
- Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Communication skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal and human relation skills
- Ability to effectively present information in a one on one and small group situation to Faculty, Staff, Supervisor and other part time employees
