The Osage View Restaurant has an opening for a Summer Server position. This individual will be servicing the main restaurant, the back patio and the pool area. We are looking for candidates available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends. Servers are responsible for greeting our guest, taking orders and serving food in a fun and recreational atmosphere. Dependability, a positive attitude and attention to detail is required for success in this position.
ESSENTIALS FUNCTIONS:
- Greet guest in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Present menus and answer questions regarding food and beverage options
- Take orders on an electronic devise
- Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Anticipate and attend to customer needs throughout their dining experience
- Clean and prep tables with special attention to sanitation and presentation
- Clean restaurant and other dining spaces upon guests leaving
- Help clean, organize and restock restaurant at the close of shift
- Process payments and maintain accurate cash/credit handling
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
This position requires a high school diploma. This position requires work experience and abilities in the following areas:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must posses excellent customer service skills are a must.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to move with a sense of urgency & efficiency.
- Ability to remain calm, and maintain a positive demeaner even during high-stress situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
- Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to work well under pressure.
- Ability to maintain personal cleanliness.
- Prior experience as a server is preferred, but not required.
