The State University of New York at Fredonia seeks applications for a strategic and collaborative
person to serve as the Assistant Director of Slate Operations (ADSO) in the Office of
Admissions. The Assistant Director of Slate Operations will report directly to the Associate Director of Operations, and work closely with the Director of Admission as well as various university units (IT, Marketing/Communications, etc). The ADSO will be well versed in the various aspects of CRM platform structure, use and implementation strategies. As a vital member of our operations and communications teams, they will be responsible for CRM management, admissions operations, and system analytics. The ADSO will work with university staff and faculty to assure appropriate end user training and must possess a general understanding of admissions operations and be able to think independently and make decisions.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES
As a vital member of our operations and communications teams, you will be responsible for CRM management, admissions operations, system analytics.
Optimize the CRM infrastructure. This includes integrating Slate with our SIS, streamlining application processing, and developing a comprehensive database and reporting framework.
Enhance operational efficiency and support our strategic goals.
Collaborate closely with the Director and Associate Director of Admissions, fulfill a crucial role in enhancing the Slate CRM platform.
Innovate and implement ideas to automate processes and refine the recruitment strategies.
Oversee the admissions CRM, driving infrastructure development and implementing new features.
Lead integration efforts with our Student Information System (SIS), partnering with IT and/or external vendors.
Develop and deliver training for staff to maximize CRM usage and effectiveness.
Create targeted queries for communication deployment and develop essential documentation and training materials.
Streamline application processing and daily operations, exploring new functionalities within Slate.
Maintain a comprehensive Systems Procedure manual and ensure adherence to enrollment policies.
Manage special program applications.
Identify and resolve data quality issues, developing plans for recruitment and admissions analysis.
Regularly prepare reports on key metrics, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with technical leads to fulfill data requests and create custom reports.
Deliver informative training and presentations to an audience in a variety of settings relevant to Slate.
Assist at recruitment and other campus/external events that occur on limited nights and weekends such as Open House, Orientation Events, etc.
Participate and collaborate as a member of the admissions team in various meetings and events.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in related field with at least 1 year of experience in CRM management; or
Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in CRM management. (All degrees must be
from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or
internationally recognized accrediting organization.)
Technical analyst experience with Technosolutions Slate.
Experience with query tools and relational databases
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in related discipline with at least 3 years of experience in CRM. (Degree must be from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.)
Experience in Technosolutions Slate CRM implementation, specifically application workflow and portals, and the development of the enrollment life cycle from beginning to end.
Advanced knowledge of CRM systems, including managing security, access, and user roles.
Experience in designing and implementing business process improvements.
Proficient in database management and data integrity maintenance.
Familiarity with communication workflows, event management and recruitment strategies.
Knowledge of Banner SIS, SQL, HTML, Constituo, and other web technologies.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, 12 month, Assistant Director of Slate Operations (SL4), UUP represented position.
Salary starting range $75,000 - $89,000 commensurate with experience.
Some limited weekends and evenings are required.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred starting date is April 2025.
