SUNY Fredonia is looking for the next member of its talented, award-winning Marketingand Communications team. We are looking for a Marketing Videographer/Editor to produce creative multimedia stories that targets audiences (prospective students and their families as well as donors) to build university awareness and engagement. The Marketing Videographer/Editor will develop, produce, direct, shoot, and edit strategic, engaging video stories for the Fredonia website, social media, and digital advertising as well as for senior administrative offices including the Office of the President. This person will also coordinate video production and asset management with other departments on campus.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the successful candidate will:
Shoot and edit video of academic and campus life and its attributes to produce engaging videos for multiple platforms to successfully market the university to its targeted audiences.
Produce short-form written articles to accompany video production.
Post digital video and content to Fredonia's official social media accounts.
Initiate and facilitate meetings with campus departments to discuss marketing needs and create digital content to advance marketing and recruitment efforts.
Work directly with digital advertising vendors to provide relevant marketing content (video, still photos, audio)
Coordinate and collaborate on strategic marketing content for video and digital.
Operate the campus-owned drone aircraft to capture aerial images of campus
Take still photography, using university-provided DSLR camera, of campus images, such as students/faculty staff, and special events.
Coordinate/give feedback to video production interns within the department.
Monitor social media channels and alert campus leadership of trends any items that require immediate attention
Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession;
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
Demonstrated contemporary video storytelling and video marketing skills (please include link to prior video work in application materials)
Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of video and DSLR cameras and associated equipment, and post-production workflows and technology,
ability to utilize DSLR camera to take still photography of campus people, places and/or events;
Demonstrated ability to post content to social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.);
Demonstrated ability to write short and long-form article to accompany video stories;
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously;
Demonstrated ability to manage and archive multimedia content;
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse and talented marketing/communications staff, the larger university community and represent a diverse campus community in representative material;
Demonstrated commitment to the university, division, and profession
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including ability to set up and carry equipment up to 30lbs;
Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel;
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution;
Two years experience in high-quality video production;
Proficiency in non-linear editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and other programs within the Adobe Creative Suite
A current FAA license to operate a drone aircraft OR the ability and willingness to obtain FAA license through training and licensing supplied by the university;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated contemporary video storytelling and video marketing skills (please include link to prior video work in application materials)
Bachelor's Degree in Communication with specialization in video production from an accredited institution;
Two years experience in high-quality video production at a professional, commercial production facility;
