Duties: Facility Operations Assistants perform a variety of routine unskilled and semiskilled manual tasks related to the operation and maintenance of State-owned buildings and facilities, the surrounding grounds, and the vehicles and equipment used in maintaining these sites.

- Ability to follow specific instructions under the direct supervision of Plant Utilities Assistants and Engineers.
- Ability to perform general utilities maintenance tasks such as cleaning, overhaul and repair boiler, chiller or auxiliary plant equipment.
- Ability to report to campus during snow emergencies to help remove snow.
- Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and to communicate effectively to obtain and convey information.
- A valid NYS Driver’s license.
