What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor, Economics position at State University of New York at Plattsburgh?
This full-time, tenure-track position is expected to begin Fall 2025. As an integral part of the faculty, this position will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Economics. Course assignments will be assigned in line with the successful candidate’s expertise and interest but may include courses such as first-year principles, introductory (or intermediate) micro- and macro-economics courses, business statistics courses, and mathematics for business courses. Student advisement along with departmental, college, and university service is expected. Faculty are further expected to be actively engaged on campus and contribute to an energetic educational environment. The department of Economics and Finance has a well published and experienced faculty who blend in classroom learning with outside the classroom opportunities to give our students a well-balanced educational experience. The School of Business & Economics is internationally accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). We offer students a broad-based education with a global perspective and emphasis on experiential learning.
