What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Director position at State University of New York at Plattsburgh?
This is an 11-month, live-on position that includes some evening and weekend obligations. The successful candidate will provide oversight of the operations of assigned residence halls in their community to include supervision of Community Advocates and Assistant Community Directors. This professional staff member will also participate in assessments and retention efforts, conduct cases in their assigned area of responsibility, restorative practices, and efforts in the areas of diversity and/or wellness, and other focused programming. The Department of Campus Housing and Community Living provides a safe, secure and well-maintained environment for students living on campus. We are part of the Enrollment and Student Success division which supports a student’s entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success. Collectively, the division of Enrollment and Student Success positively influences the health, safety and well-being of the student body.
