What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader Fall 2025 position at State University of New York, Cortland?
/Duties
Supplemental Instruction Leaders engage students in peer-led collaborative groups that integrate how to learn with what to learn for certain biology and chemistry courses.
Days/Hours Needed
Leaders work approximately ten hours per week. Duties include – attending all lectures for the course, meeting with the course professor, meeting with the SI Coordinator, and preparing for and facilitating three hours of study sessions per week. Typically, sessions take place weekday evenings (Monday through Thursday) and Sundays throughout the semester.

Required Qualifications
- Must be a current SUNY Cortland student
- Successful candidates will have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and have earned a B or higher in the course of interest
- Leaders MUST attend all lectures for the assigned course.
Preferred Qualifications
For all candidates, previous attendance in SI sessions is a plus!
