Position Overview: The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of multiple commercial office buildings and residential homes. This role includes performing basic maintenance tasks, ensuring that all areas are clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging sinks, and minor repairs.
- Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning agents as needed.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Facilities Manager promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request orders when necessary.
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to building occupants and respond to requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and any maintenance performed.
- Travel between multiple job sites, including commercial office buildings and residential homes, as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
- Basic maintenance skills and the ability to perform minor repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $11.40 - $14.50 per hour
