The position will be located in Santa Rosa (Sonoma County) at 5550 Skylane Blvd., Suite A, Santa Rosa, CA, near the SMART Train and Sonoma County Airport.

Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working well with multi-disciplinary teams and with partners at all levels (i.e. staff and management) of federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Experience interacting with and serving the needs of internal and external customers, including members of the regulated public and their affiliates.
- Experience implementing actions to promote racial equity in the workplace and in communities.
- Proficiency in working with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, data analysis and display software, computer programming applications, and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications.
- Proficiency in entering and retrieving data, formulating queries, running reports, and otherwise managing enterprise databases, preferably those most frequently used by Water Boards programs (i.e. CIWQS, CIPS, GeoTracker, and the Water Board’ Electronic Content Management (ECM) system).
- Ability to manage caseloads of varying volume and complexity by applying strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience giving effective presentations to small and large audiences, and experience working with difficult and/or confrontational customers with impartiality and composure.
- Experience interpreting, implementing, and enforcing environmental laws and regulations, especially those related to the protection of water quality and designated Beneficial Uses of water, and those related to the regulation of agricultural land use activities.
- Familiarity and/or experience with implementing the Water Boards’ Cannabis Cultivation and Enforcement Policies.

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be submitted along with the State Application and serves as documentation of candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. It should be typed, no more than two (2) pages in length, using Arial size,12 pt. font, and normal margins.
