State Fire is currently looking for a full-time Fire Sprinkler Inspector based in Reno, NV . Ideal candidates have a background and experience with fire sprinkler systems and possess Nevada and backflow licensing.
Your role as a Fire Sprinkler Inspector will include the following responsibilities :
- Conduct scheduled inspections of fire sprinkler systems to ensure they meet local, state, and national codes and standards, such as those set by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
- Inspect sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, alarms, and other components for proper function and signs of wear or damage.
- Perform functional tests on fire sprinkler systems to ensure they operate correctly in case of a fire.
- Test water flow, pressure, and alarm functionality to verify the system's effectiveness.
- Carry out maintenance tasks, including cleaning sprinkler heads, lubricating moving parts, and replacing damaged or worn components.
- Repair or replace faulty parts to keep the system in optimal working condition.
- Regional travel with overnight stays may be required.
