SUMMARY: The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role is essential in supporting the efficient manufacturing of cannabis products while adhering to state regulations and company policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates and monitors production machinery used in the extraction, processing, and packaging of cannabis products.
Adjusts machine settings and controls according to production specifications and quality standards.
Conducts regular inspections of equipment and production outputs to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Identifies and reports any defects or issues in products or machinery to the Production Supervisor.
Performs routine maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and carries out necessary repairs or adjustments as directed.
Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements associated with cannabis manufacturing.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production quantities, machine performance, and material usage.
Completes necessary production reports as required by management.
Collaborates with team members and communicates effectively with supervisors to ensure efficient production flow.
Attends team meetings to discuss production goals, challenges, and improvements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
Regularly perform various repetitive motions such as carrying, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, bending/crouching, stooping, reaching and stretching.
Must be able to move, carry, lift and push up to 50 pounds.
Grasping, holding and other repetitive movements involving wrists and hands are required.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and odors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting required.
Relevant technical training or certification preferred.
Previous experience as a machine operator, preferably in a manufacturing or cannabis environment, is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with cannabis production processes and equipment is a plus.
Availability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must meet all state regulations regarding cannabis manufacturing and maintain required training and certifications.
