Job Description

The Maintenance technician assumes a pivotal role in ensuring the interrupted operation of equipment and machinery within our manufacturing facility. This multifaceted position encompasses providing safe and timely electrical support, executing preventive maintenance, conducting installations, delivering services, performing repairs, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across multiple operational machines. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician installs and sets up both AC and DC drivers, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (This list is not intended to be all-inclusive)

Executes routine inspections and preemptive maintenance procedures on machinery and equipment while fostering optimal functionality and minimizing operational downtime.
Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues encountered within manufacturing equipment to restore machine functionality.
Performs efficient repairs and component replacements to rectify equipment faults promptly to mitigate disruptions to production schedules.
Leverages comprehensive expertise to tackle challenges across a multitude of operating machines, employing innovative solutions to uphold uninterrupted production processes.
Maintains meticulous records of maintenance activities, work orders, repairs, and parts inventory.
Collaborates closely with production personnel to identify recurring equipment challenges, contributing to the development and implementation of sustainable solutions.
Collaborates in the seamless installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and operational benchmarks. This including installing and setting up both AC and DC drivers to ensure smooth transition.
Adheres to rigorously safety protocols and guidelines while always fostering a secure working environment for oneself and colleagues.
Engages on ongoing training initiatives to remain abreast of cutting-edge technologies and advancements in maintenance methodologies.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial electronic controls.

Ability to maintain boiler systems and safety compliance.

Ability to trouble shoot and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude.

Proficient in reading and interpreting both electronic and mechanical drawings.

Essential welding skills.

Knowledge of electrical and air pumps.

Ability to install and trouble shoot basic 3 phase motors and control circuits.

Well-versed in performing preventative maintenance, executing repairs, and conducting installations across a diverse array of equipment and machinery.

Exceptional problem-solving acumen, with the ability to dissect complex issues and implement effective solutions under demanding circumstances.

Must be meticulously detail-oriented, possess robust technical acumen, and can deeply navigate both independent and team-based tasks.

Agility to adapt to varying shifts and respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.

Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately while not overstepping chain of command.

Communicates interacts, and works effectively with others; receptive to feedback and coaching; voices concern in a constructive manner

Follow all safety protocols and policies. Demonstrates commitment to safety first; communicates safety concerns; promotes a safe work environment based on established safety standards and training

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, lifting, walking, standing, some bending / crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions

Must be able to stand for extended periods while maintaining focus.

Occasionally ascends / descends a ladder to stock or bring the product down from storage or racks and maintain the cultivation process.

Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 75 pounds (200 pounds with assistance) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

At least 4 years of prior mechanical, HVAC, maintenance experience is desired

Experience with plumbing, Electrical with knowledge of 480 3 phase power, required.

Welding and light fabrication experience, required.

Heating and AC experience, required.

At least a minimum of 21 years old and pass a criminal background check.
