SUMMARY : Lead, develop and improve all Manufacturing Operations through employee development, effective workflow direction and ensuring that work standards are communicated and met. Actively participate, lead and achieve effective teamwork of key personnel in meeting efficiency, productivity, manufacturability, continuous improvement and safety goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing direction and coaching to technicians and other production personnel in the assembly and manufacturing areas.
- Ensures team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives.
- Provides leadership / direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.
- Be accountable for the performance management, leadership development, and processes for the manufacturing team.
- Supports long-term resourcing plans related to staffing, equipment, and other resources to effectively meet business needs.
- Establish and promote a continuous improvement environment within the team and ensure the application of lean principles
- Maintain key manufacturing initiatives, metrics, and goals for the team that are in alignment with business priorities
- Cultivate strong partnerships with all manufacturing support functions, including planning, Quality Assurance, Environmental Health &Safety, Regulatory, etc
- Ensure all environmental health and safety requirements are met
- Maintain compliance with training expectations as required
- Other duties as assigned
