Job Summary:
This position requires a dedicated and passionate Educator who will instruct courses recognized by the New York State Education Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and modifying curriculum and course outlines, as well as developing daily or weekly lesson plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct a variety of courses to students of different ages and skill levels.
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or a related field.
- Current New York State Education Department initial certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty, depending on the level of the position (Teacher 2, Teacher 3, or Teacher 4).
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in classroom teaching with a strong understanding of curriculum development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and other stakeholders.
Background Investigation Requirements:
- Criminal Background Check (CBC)
- State and federal Criminal History Record Checks
- Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs
