Job Brief:
To promote StateLine Cooperative’s grain department and provide producers with grain marketing programs and information that will increase the producers’ return on investment and/or manage the producers grain marketing risks. Ability to be a grain marketing information resource for locations and producers. This position will support and assist all employees in achieving StateLine Cooperatives mission goals and promote safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Soliciting grain business from producers by retaining established grain business and gaining new grain business
2. Establishing producer relationships and build long-term relationships with targeted customers
3. Retain targeted customers and capture new growth opportunities
4. Promoting and establishing farmer grain marketing programs.
5. Daily forecasting and strategizing of sales and marketing efforts
6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer profiles within the Oakland system
7. Communicate directly with customers or via location managers and/or other service personnel to originate grain, utilize risk management tools and define customer needs.
8. Will actively seek out prospective new customers and promote grain marketing programs.
9. Reporting involves submitting all required operational reports to management within the time limits given.
10. Performing other duties as assigned

Professionalism:
1. Always conduct yourself in a professional manner.

2. One year of experience working as a grain originator
3. Maintain a clean and positive appearance with both yourself and SLC equipment and facilities.
4. Attending schools and training pertaining to grain to maintain and build expertise as requested.
5. Perform duties in an efficient and time-saving manner.

Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in Ag Business or related field.
2. Self-motivated
3. Problem Solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions, works well in group problem solving situations, uses reason even when dealing with emotion topics.
4. Teamwork-Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibit objectivity and openness to others views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team spirit, puts success of team above own interests, able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives, supports everyone’s efforts to succeed.
5. Exhibits solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Skilled in performing mathematical calculations.
7. Ability to solve practical problems.
8. Computer skills, and knowledge of Oakland Corporation Accounting software, Excel and Word.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
