What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grain Superintendent position at STATELINE COOPERATIVE?
Job Brief:
To help with all aspects of the location in a manner that will optimize StateLine's efficiency and help achieve the cooperative's mission and goals and result in outstanding customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving and loading grain
- Operating and maintaining the grain dryer
- Keep accurate records of grain inventories
- Make sure facility is in compliance of OSHA's housekeeping requirements at all times.
- Fill out all repaired paperwork and permits for all activities that require such documentation prior to performing those duties.
- Inform Location Manager of any problems or potential problems with the facility or grain inventories.
- Maintain equipment on a regular schedule to avoid breakdowns and anticipate and plan for major overhauls.
- Loading and blending grain for train units. Trains need to be loaded in 15 hours from time of placement, including nights and weekends when applicable.
- Performing other duties as assigned

- Maintain a clean and positive appearance with both yourself and SLC equipment and facilities.
- Attending schools and trainings pertaining to agronomy to maintain and build expertise as requested.
- Perform duties in an efficient and time saving manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education certificate; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skilled in performing mathematical calculations.
- Experience in ensuring facility safety.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
